Stamp 4

And in my last stamp there is a leaf that I took a picture of when we went on our trip to tropical world. Also there is a silhouette of somebody doing a karate kick which will represent this sport in the Olympic games. there is also the rio Olympic games logo in the centre of the page at the top. This links to the brief because it has something in from our trip to tropical world and it is to do with brazil Olympics 2016. in this stamp it took me quite a while to create because I had to draw all the roots using the paint brush tool which took me around half an hour, once I had done that I then had to colour the leaf in using the paint brush tool and then this took me about another half an hour. once it had been coloured in I need to put in a picture of the Olympic logo and draw round it so that it fit into the brief and after all this I added a silhouette of a karate kid and drew round it and coloured it in black using the paint brush tool. but I think that this fits into the brief because it is linked with the Olympics and it has also got tropical world linked in.

Stamp 3

In  my third stamp I have the very famous Christ the redeemer who is holding the Olympic torch. the colours in the back ground are to represent the Brazilian flag, and Christ the redeemer is holding the Olympic torch because a lot of people look upon the statue so this means people will watch the Olympic games. I used the flare tool to try and create the effect that the sun was going down and so this means that the gold of the Olympic torch will be glowing, which means the people can see it from a distance. in this stamp I also used the distort and transform tool so that it would look more creative and I made sure that the colour was relating to brazil so that it fits into the brief which I think that it does because it has a famous statue that looks over Rio de janero. this stamp was difficult at first because I had forgot how to create the background but then from looking at some tutorials I had seen how to create the background.

Stamp 2

My second stamp links into the brief very well because it has the Olympic rings, a very famous Brazilian footballer, a couple of sports that are played, the Brazilian flag and the main statue in brazil, rio de janero which is Christ the redeemer. the brazilin flag is to represent Brazil, Pele is the very famous footballer who scored the first ever over head kick in the world cup, the two sports that are in the rings are sports that are played at the Olympics and Christ the redeemer is a famous statue that is looked upon by many Brazilians. in this tamp I used the same tools as I used to create the first one. I used the pen tool to create my Olympic rings and the paint brush was used to colour things in, I had to use a number of layers so that the colour was correct because the drawing of the thing had to go above the colour so that if I went out a little bit it would go beneath the line. I also used the text tool the write; ORDEM E PROGRESSO, in the middle of the Brazilian flag. I think that this stamp also fits into the brief well because it has the Olympic rings and inside the rings are things to do with brazil and to do with the brazil 2016 Olympics.

Stamp 1

in my first I got a picture of Neymar, the Olympic rings, rio 2016 and brazil. because this all relates to the brief that we have been given. it all links in to the set brief because the rio 2016 Olympics is going to be held in brazil. Neymar is a famous footballer, and he plays for brazil. he has an Olympic torch behind his head because the Olympic torch is a very important part to the Olympics. and the word Brazil that I have at the bottom is to represent the country that one were Neymar is from and two, because this is were the Olympics is going to be taking place in 2016. I used a number of different techniques in this stamp, I used; the pen tool, paint brush, gradient and lasso tool. I used the gradient for he fire on the Olympic torch, I used the lasso tool to chop out bits that I didn't need, I used the paint brush to create the Olympic rings and to create the writing, Brazil and Rio 2016. and the pen tool was used to colour in the things, I had to click around wear I wanted colouring and it coloured in the centre for me. I think that this stamp relates to the brief very well because of what is involved in the stamp.

Final Ideas

My first idea was Neymar with an Olympic torch and the Rio 2016 sign at either side of Neymar and also there will be brazil written at the bottom, and there will be an Olympic torch behind him to represent the Olympics.
My second idea that I have is that I will have the Olympic rings with things in the rings in the first ring I will have a Brazilian flag, in the second ill have Pelé, in the third ill have Christ the redeemer, the forth tennis rackets and ball and in the final ring there will be a hockey stick and ball.
In my third stamp I will have Christ the redeemer with an abstract background there will also be a flare which I want to look like a sun and Christ the redeemer will be holding the Olympic torch.
The final stamp will be a leaf from my pictures from tropical word and then on top of this there will be the Olympic rings and name with a karate kid underneath.

Description of the trip to tropical world

Tropical world was in leeds, when we first wallked into the place there was abig gift shop with lost of stuffed animals. first we walked through to were there were aload of different plants and butterflies, after this we  went through to the next room were there was fish but there were alot of diferent animals all the way through this trip. nd out alot of infomation about the animals from brazil and the amazon rainforest.

Tropical World

On the 21st of october 3013 we went on a trip to Topical world in leeds. When i was there i saw alot of animals and plants that will help me with my initial ideas. i got pictures of several different aniamls and plants. i will be using a few of these photos in my final responce.

Describing my initial idea

I have came up with an idea to get a picture of Neymar and to draw round him using the paint brush, then i was going to but a couple of things to do with Brazil to put behind him. then i would of had to put the queens head in the top left corner so that it resembles a stamp.

Cartoon version of Pele

This is a picture of Pele at first it was a picture of Pele in real life, but i went onto illustrator and edited the picture so that it was like a cartoon picture this idea will be going into my final response.

Initial Idea Sketches

My initial idea sketches will help me create my final response of a set of 4 stamps because they have ideas of drawings that i could include on the stamps and use as the sending stamp. these sketches relate to the brief we have been given because they will help me create my final response.

Evaluation of Olympics

Evaluating the Olympic logos will help me create my final logos because it gives me some ideas and shows me what should be included in the logo. I had evaluated around 4 logos so this has gave me a good idea on what to include on my logo.

Evaluation of Stamps

the reason that i decided to evaluate the physical form of Olympic stamps these will help me develop my ideas towards my final response. the things that i found out when doing this evaluation of the stamps i found out that they should always include a stamp in the top left corner, and mine will try to make people think of the Olympics and want to go and to go and watch Brazil play football. My stamps will promote the Olympics by making them look fun and make them attractive so pepole take a look at them.

Evaluation of Pablo Jeffer Da Silva

The reason that Pablo Jeffer has been chosen as the focus illustrator because he is a Brazilian nationality. We had to evaluate 3 pictures that Pablo Jeffer had created and my favourite picture that we had to evaluate was the one with his name involved in the picture, the texture of the colours was brilliant and the font was great and it fitted in with the picture perfectly. This is the picture that i described.

Mind Map

My research and collage has help me create my mind map because it had a number of different ideas that helped me create the mind map, on the mind map i have got infomation on the mind map that will help me with my final response, such as; i put some infomation about the amazon rainforest and the amazon river there were a few facts about these points. and i also put that there were legendery footballers and christ the reedemer and when it comes to creating my final response this will help me alot.

Collage

I decided to create a collage of images relating Brazil which will help me develop ideas and give examples of how you hope to use some of the imagery to generate your own ideas, i chose to collect images of christ the redeemer because this statue is one of the seven wonders and it is a famous statue in rio de janero. also i have collected pictues of the Brazilian national team because they have one 5 world cups and i think that they will win the olympics in 2016.

Background Research

• I have researched the amazon rainforest as one of my ideas i found out that, The forest floor is almost completely dark with less that 1% of the available sunlight making it through the tree canopy above and there are around 3000 fruits found in rainforests, and in the west we make use of around 200 of them. However, indigenous tribes make use of over 2000.
• I have also researched about the landmarks in rio, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most visited cities in the southern hemisphere and is known for its natural settings, carnival celebrations, samba, Bossa Nova, balneario beaches such as Barra da Tijuca, Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. and this is the home of the christ reedemer.
• And the last thing that i have researched is some sporting heroes such as Ronaldo, Pele, Ronaldinho this is some infomation about each player, Ronaldo….Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima was on the 18 September 1976 commonly known as Ronaldo, is a Brazilian retired footballer. Popularly dubbed "the phenomenon", he is considered by experts and fansas one of the greatest football players of all time.

In this Brief we have been asked to create a set of 4 stamps, Part of the brief is that we have been asked to put Brazil into the satmps and about the Olympics that will be happening in Brazil in 2016.
